Clothing/Jewelry Description: Steeled-toed sneakers and an all-white Honda work uniform consisting of pants and a long-sleeved shirt with two red outlined patches on the upper chest; one of the patches says "Patti" and the other says "Honda of America." Details of Disappearance
Adkins was last seen departing her place of work at the Honda of America Mfg., Inc. automotive plant in Marysville, Ohio on June 29, 2001, at the end of the second shift. She has never been heard from again. She was reported missing by her sister on July 8 after she failed to pick up her young daughter. At the time of her disappearance, Adkins was carrying a small teal-colored duffle bag, a maroon coin pouch and a keychain with her Honda identification card.Prior to her disappearance, Adkins had stated that she was going to go on a vacation to Canada for a week with a male coworker. When contacted by police after Adkins vanished, the coworker stated that he had not left town and had not been planning to do so. Before she went missing, Adkins made an appointment with a hairdresser for after her supposed vacation. She never kept it. She had worked for Honda for nearly ten years and had become a team leader at the assembly line, and she was anticipating a promotion when she disappeared.
Adkins was declared legally dead after her disappearance. There's been no activity on her financial accounts since she went missing. Her family believes she was murdered, but due to the lack of evidence in her case it is being investigated as a missing person case rather than a crime.
