Details of Disappearance
Anastacio was last seen outside Bedichek Middle School in the 6800 blocak of Bill Hughes Road in Austin, Texas at 8:00 a.m. on May 6, 2010. A teacher's aide saw her standing outside the school before classes began, talking to a man in a vehicle, and asked what she was doing. She replied that she didn't feel well and was going home. Anastacio got into a brown 1997 GMC Jimmy with the Texas license plate 84TFL4; a similar vehicle is pictured below this case summary. It was driven by Angel Rojas Ambrocio.A felony warrant was issued for Ambrocio for aggravated sexual assault of a child; the alleged victim was Anastacio. He is an acquaintance of her family. Investigators believe they had an ongoing sexual relationship, which possibly began in late 2009 or early 2010. Anastacio's family had found out about it and planned to press charges, but the warrant wasn't issued until after she taken. Police believe Anastacio is in danger and classified her case as an abduction. They may have abandoned their vehicle and traveled by bus to Cuernavaca, Mexico.
Caution is advised when approaching Ambrocio, as he may be dangerous. Anastacio's case remains unsolved.
