Missing Since: April 3, 2000 from Sparta, Tennessee Classification: Endangered Runaway Date of Birth: November 7, 1982 Age: 17 years old Height and Weight: 5'8, 150 - 155 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Dark brown hair, blue eyes. Both of Bechtel's ears are pierced multiple times.
Details of Disappearance
Bechtel was last seen in the company of his friend Erin Foster, who is also missing. They visited a mutual friend that day, then left the friend's house in Foster's black two-door 1998 Pontiac Grand Am. Witnesses saw Bechtel and Foster in the car outside of Sparta, Tennessee at approximately 10:00 p.m. on April 3, 2000. They have never been heard from again.Authorities believe Foster and Bechtel may have left of their own accord, but the circumstances surrounding their cases are unclear. Both remain missing and their cases are unsolved.
