    Details of Disappearance

Beck was last seen in Ronkonkoma, New York on June 17, 2000. She was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Yvette Torres, during a court-ordered visitation. Beck's father has custody of her, but Torres was permitted to see her for two weeks every month. She had wanted Beck to move to Florida with her, but the child's father refused to permit it. A photograph and vital statistics for Torres are posted below this case summary. A federal warrant for international parental kidnapping was issued for her on February 7, 2001.

Torres has previously lived in Deerfield Beach, Florida. She got a fraudulent United States passport for Beck prior to her disappearance, in the name of Sabrena Dawson. She and Beck are believed to have left the country; authorities found passport information for them and international airline tickets paid for by Torres. They may be in Madrid, Spain; England; France; Florida; New Jersey; California; or Puerto Rico. Beck's case remains unsolved.
