  • Height and Weight: 6'0, 165 pounds
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Graying black hair, green eyes. Casteel's nicknames are Junior and Gene Junior. He does not speak often and when he does, it is slowly, in a low voice. He doesn't look people in the eye when he talks to them and has a limited range of facial expressions. Casteel's lower teeth are crooked and he has a scar from surgery to repair a harelip. He also has a sunburn scar on his cheek below his eye, a tattoo of the letters "AU" on his back, and tattoos of the phrase "Get Er Done" and sad and smiley faces.
  • Clothing/Jewelry Description: A short-sleeved navy blue polo shirt with red stripes, blue jeans, white socks and brown and black suede hiking boots.
  • Medical Conditions: Casteel is mildly mentally retarded and may have autistic thought patterns. He was also in the early stages of dementia at the time of his disappearance.

    Details of Disappearance

    Casteel was last seen in Fort Worth, Texas on July 15, 2009. He traveled on foot to the Goodwill store near Loop 820 and Campus Drive that day and took testing for job placement. He never returned home and has never been heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, Casteel was carrying his wallet with his Social Security card, birth certificate and Texas state identification. His case remains unsolved.
