Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Graying black hair, green eyes. Casteel's nicknames are Junior and Gene Junior. He does not speak often and when he does, it is slowly, in a low voice. He doesn't look people in the eye when he talks to them and has a limited range of facial expressions. Casteel's lower teeth are crooked and he has a scar from surgery to repair a harelip. He also has a sunburn scar on his cheek below his eye, a tattoo of the letters "AU" on his back, and tattoos of the phrase "Get Er Done" and sad and smiley faces.

Clothing/Jewelry Description: A short-sleeved navy blue polo shirt with red stripes, blue jeans, white socks and brown and black suede hiking boots.

Medical Conditions: Casteel is mildly mentally retarded and may have autistic thought patterns. He was also in the early stages of dementia at the time of his disappearance.
