Missing Since: August 31, 2001 from Tinley Park, Illinois Classification: Endangered Missing Date of Birth: March 21, 1968 Age: 33 years old Height and Weight: 5'7, 120 - 145 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Dark brown hair, brown eyes. Couch wears eyeglasses with brown frames. His nicknames are Tom and Tommy. Couch may have a beard and/or mustache. He has a small surgical scar on the back of his shoulder. Clothing/Jewelry Description: A white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a gray and white denim Raiders jacket. Medical Conditions: Couch is developmentally disabled and has the mental capacity of an eight-year-old child. He also has a seizure disorder which can be controlled by medication.
Details of Disappearance
Couch was a resident of the Howe Developmental Center in Tinley Park, Illinois in August of 2001. He checked in with a center employee at 7:00 a.m. and was supposed to check in again at 7:15, but did not, and has never been heard from again. Couch may have been carrying a brown briefcase at the time of his disappearance. He may have attempted to travel to Bonita Springs, Florida, where his father lives.Couch is described as streetwise and he is capable of keeping a job. Because of his mental disabilities, however, he is considered to be endangered. His sister said he has a very trusting nature and she believes someone took advantage of him and harmed him. His case remains unsolved.
