Details of Disappearance
Cara disappeared from Deltona, Florida on August 14, 2009. Authorities believe she was abducted by her non-custodial father, Aaron Flint Cox. A photograph and vital statistics for Aaron are posted below this case summary. Cara's parents had never married. Her mother in Deltona had full custody of her, and her father had liberal visitation. Aaron lived in Bainbridge, Georgia, approximately five hours from Deltona. He started keeping Cara longer than the visitation agreement allowed, and as a result his visitation was restricted. When he picked up Cara from her mother's home on August 14 for one of their scheduled visits, he never returned her.Cara's mother got an emergency ex parte order about a week after the abduction, but when police went to Aaron's residence, he and Cara were gone. Aaron had sold his home, removed all his belongings and left his car abandoned in the driveway. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Aaron dislikes cold weather and may have taken Cara somewhere tropical.
Cara loves insects and wanted to be an entomologist, a scientist specializing in insects, when she grew up. She enjoys water activities including fishing, swimming, jet-skiing, boating and going to the beach. She also likes biking, soccer, kickball, hide and seek, and visiting theme parks. Cara's whereabouts are unknown and her case remains unsolved.

He has a metal plate in his left leg and walks with an unusual gait as a result. Aaron is a master electrician and computer programmer, and he previously owned and managed a chain of health food stores. His hobbies including fishing, boating, jet-skiing and other water activities.
Medical Conditions: Aaron has severe sinus problems and has a loud, chronic cough as a result.
