Details of Disappearance
Jaden and her sister, Jasmine Cummins, and half-sister Sierra Emberton, disappeared from Franklin, Indiana on March 28, 2008. They were abducted by two non-custodial relatives, Laura Burton Vivas and Javier Solis Hernandez. Photographs and vital statistics for the abductors are posted below this case summary. Felony warrants were issued for them on October 31, 2008. Vivas is the Cummins children's paternal grandmother, and Hernandez is her boyfriend. Vivas had temporary guardianship of all three children. Jasmine and Jaden's father was in prison and was coming up for release when his mother and her boyfriend took the children.Vivas, Hernandez and the three girls may be in Mexico. They may be traveling in a red 1997 Ford F150 extended cab pickup truck with Indiana license plates numbered 758500L. The truck may be pulling a 1995 cargo trailer with Indiana license plates numbered 690579. The children's whereabouts are unknown and their cases remain unsolved.
