Details of Disappearance
De Lamadrid's son reported his father as a missing person to authorities in Chicago, Illinois sometime during March 1997 after he was unable locate him. Investigators learned that de Lamadrid was having financial problems at the time of his disappearance due to a failed business venture. In addition, de Lamadrid was involved in illegal drug activity. He was rumored to be living in Puerto Rico, but leads in that vicinity never panned out. De Lamadrid has never been seen again.
