Delap was last seen at her home in the 23600 block of southeast Bohna Park Road in Boring, Oregon on the evening of January 16, 1991. Her husband reported she got into a white sedan with an unidentified male and left for the coast. He believed she had left of her own accord and did not report her missing. One of Delap's relatives filed a missing persons report on May 8, nearly four months later.

Authorities believe Delap is missing under suspicious circumstances and may have murdered. Her case remains unsolved.
