  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Gray hair, blue eyes. Drew's nickname is Tom. He has dark brown moles on his chest, back and arms and a light surgical scar on his right arm. He has a fatty lump on his lower right arm that fluctuates in size. Drew wears a full set of dentures. He has a stooped posture.
  • Clothing/Jewelry Descriptions: A maroon sweatshirt, a tan hip-length jacket, blue jeans, white socks and white sneakers.
  • Medical Conditions: Drew suffers from dementia and aphasia, which makes it difficult for him to express himself or understand others. He also has other medical problems, including occasional high blood pressure, cardiopulmonary disease and an enlarged prostate. He is profoundly deaf, but he refuses to wear a hearing aid. Drew has limited mobility and will need to make frequent stops to rest. He is in need of medication for his conditions.

    Details of Disappearance

    Drew was last seen in the evening hours of July 21, 2007 at his residence in the 30 block of Ravine Ridge Road in rural Salisbury, Connecticut. Two caregivers and a live-in companion were staying with him. Drew's companion left the home at 3:00 p.m. When he returned at 7:30 p.m., one of Drew's caregivers stated he had gone outside for a walk about ten minutes earlier. He has never been heard from again. Drew was reported missing at 8:14 p.m. An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of his whereabouts, and dogs were unable to pick up his scent.

    Drew is a former fashion designer; he focused on women's sportswear during his career in New York City. He grew up in Georgia and is one of eight children. Three of his sisters are still alive, and he has two daughters, one in the local area and one in England. He is described as a very independent man who told his children he would die if he went into a nursing home. Drew was an active member of the Salisbury Congregational Church at the time of his disappearance. His case remains unsolved.
