Eckstein was last seen riding his bike in the 1000 block of west 32nd Street in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 17, 2010. He was heard from at 1:44 p.m., when he made a cellular phone call in Indianapolis, Indiana. He may have been on the west side of the city at the time. He might have called his mother from another number at 6:30 p.m. that day. Eckstein may have had contact with a drug deal on August 17 or 18. He has never been heard from again. His Giant mountain bike, which is black with blue streaks, disappeared with him. It was his usual mode of transportation. Few details are available in his case, but foul play is suspected.
