    Details of Disappearance

    Oscar's father, Augustine Okechukwu Emeasoba, failed to return him to his mother after a visitation in Silver Spring, Maryland on August 17, 1992. He took Oscar and fled instead. A felony warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for Augustine on February 18, 1993. There is also a state of Maryland warrant for his arrest for interference with custody, issued in October 1992. He and Oscar have never been heard from again. They may still be in the local area, or may have traveled to Augustine's native Nigeria. Few details are available in Oscar's case.
