    Details of Disappearance

Estrada disappeared from her home in Sunnyside, Washington on January 13, 2011. That evening she got a phone call from an unknown individual and cried afterward. She left home without permission, climbed over a fence and disappeared. Authorities believe she left of her own accord. She may be in the Seattle or Federal Way, Washington areas. There were several sightings of her in the general area in the months following her disappearance. Estrada's mother, Maria Elena Mojica, got a possible phone number and tried to reach her in March 2011. She said she recognized Estrada's voice, but the girl hung up quickly when she realized who was calling. The phone number has since been disconnected.

Estrada was a chronic runaway with an arrest record, but she had never been gone for longer than three weeks before. According to Mojica, she began sneaking out of the house, dating older gang members and using marijuana when she was about eleven years old. She may have been dating a nineteen-year-old at the time of her disappearance; police questioned him without result. Mojica fears her daughter was forced into prostitution.

Estrada's disappearance remains unsolved. She is still classified as a runaway.
