Details of Disappearance
Fuksa lived in Olathe, Kansas at the time of his disappearance. On July 16, 2009, he told his roommate he was going to his parents' home. He never arrived, however. His car, a maroon 1996 Ford Explorer, had a flat tire south of Wheatland, Wyoming. Later that day, the car was found abandoned along northbound Interstate 25 near mile marker 122 in Converse County, Wyoming, north of Wheatland. The car had gas and was in working condition, and Fuksa's laptop computer and clothing were locked inside it. There were no indications of foul play at the scene. He has never been heard from again.Fuksa may have been carrying a blue Nike bag, a pocket knife and a 9-millimeter handgun at the time of his disappearance. His cellular phone disappeared with him and hasn't been used since he went missing. He had previously been arrested for theft and was out on bail on that charge when he disappeared. Although there is no evidence of foul play in his case, and it's possible he is simply running from the law, Fuksa's family is concerned for his welfare. Kansas police are investigating his case, which remains unsolved.
