Details of Disappearance
Gay was last seen in a hotel in Skagway, Alaska on September 26, 2000. He said he was going to go to Upper Dewey Lakes, 2.8 miles away, to look for rocks. Gay has never been heard from again. A search began for him the following morning, but no evidence relating to his whereabouts was discovered. He is not believed to have carried any overnight camping gear.Gay resided in Montrose, British Columbia, Canada in 2000 and was employed as a geologist. His case remains unsolved.
