    Details of Disappearance

    Haynes was last seen hitchhiking home to Saulsville, West Virginia on December 7, 1963. He never arrived home and has never been heard from again. His billfold and Army dog tags were found in Wyoming County, West Virginia after his disappearance. Authorities believe he was struck by a vehicle and subsequently buried on Bolt Mountain, but his body has never been located.

    The suspect in Haynes's disappearance is now deceased, but authorities would still like to find Haynes's remains. His case remains unsolved. He was a sergeant in the United States Army in 1963.
