Hernandez disappeared on June 22, 2000 from Camp Lejeune, a United States Marine Corps base near Jacksonville, North Carolina. She has never been heard from again. She was reported missing to the Danbury, Connecticut police department on January 12, 2001, nearly six months after she was last seen. Few details are available in her case.
