Higgins was last seen in Spokane, Washington on September 20, 2010. She left her apartment on 10th and Cherry that day with a male acquaintance. She was carrying her purse and a backpack or duffle bag at the time. Her acquaintance said he dropped her off at home later, but no one saw her go inside. She has never been heard from again.

Higgins left behind her car, wallet, keys and other belongings, as well as her pet cats. She has two misdemeanor warrants out for her arrest, but authorities don't believe she's running from the law. Since she went missing, she hasn't used her cellular phone or accessed her bank account. Her disappearance is considered suspicious and her case remains unsolved.
