Missing Since: November 6, 2009 from Kinston, North Carolina Classification: Endangered Missing Date of Birth: January 14, 1947 Age: 62 years old Height and Weight: 5'9, 160 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: African-American male. Gray hair, brown eyes. Jones has stiff knees and he walks with very small steps as a result. He stutters when he speaks. Clothing/Jewelry Description: A gray jacket, a white sweater, blue jeans or khaki pants, black boots and a tan baseball cap. Medical Conditions: Jones suffers from dementia.
Details of Disappearance
Jones was last seen in Kinston, North Carolina on November 6, 2009. He lived with his daughter in the 400 block of Manning Street. An area resident saw Jones walking along the railroad tracks that intersect with the 1200 block of Neuse Road. He asked Jones if he was lost, and Jones said he was en route to Greenville, North Carolina, where he used to live. He was walking in the direction of Dover, North Carolina, however. Jones has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case.
