Lima was last seen at 1:30 a.m. on October 28, 2005, when he left his girlfriend's Chelsea, Massashusetts home. He is believed to have arrived at his own residence at south Main Street and River Street in Middleton, Massachusetts at 2:00 a.m.; a neighbor saw his vehicle there. He has never been heard from again. After his disappearance, his personal belongings were found placed on his bed, which had not been slept in.

Lima was employed as a construction worker at the time of his disappearance, and resided with his parents. He has a history of drug abuse and had previously served time in jail, but his loved ones stated he had straightened out his life by the time of his disappearance and seemed to be happy. His family believes he met with foul play and police are not ruling that possibility out. His case remains unsolved. Middleton police are investigating.
