Locke lived with his mother in Nashville, Tennessee in 2001. His mother returned to their residence during the evening hours of June 8, 2001 and said that it appeared as though Locke had taken a shower and left the house for the evening. He called his mother the following morning and said he would be returning home shortly. Locke never arrived and has not been heard from again.

Locke's vehicle was discovered abandoned on O'Brien Street near Charlotte Avenue in Nashville shortly after his disappearance. There was no sign of him at the scene. Locke's mother said that her son behaved normally prior to his disappearance, although he had lost weight during the year. His case remains unsolved.
