Missing Since: April 17, 2008 from Phoenix, Arizona Classification: Endangered Missing Date of Birth: December 31, 1971 Age: 36 years old Height and Weight: 5'6 - 5'7, 170 - 180 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Hispanic male. Black hair, brown eyes. Lopez had a goatee at the time of his disappearance. He has a mole near his left eye, a small scar on the right side of his forehead and a tattoo of the name "Soledad" on the left side of his chest. Lopez may use the last name Lopez-Garibay. Clothing/Jewelry Description: A beige t-shirt with the letters "LA" in blue on the front, beige shorts, black sneakers, white socks and a beige baseball cap.
Details of Disappearance
Lopez was last seen in the vicinity of north 69th Avenue and west Van Buren Street in Phoenix, Arizona at 5:15 p.m. on April 17, 2008. He was accompanied by a friend, Azaren Cordova. The men were riding in Lopez's truck, a black 2003 Ford F-150 with a Raiders football decal on the back window and the Arizona license plate number 118WMK. A photo of a similar truck is posted below this case summary. Lopez and Cordova may have been en route to Casa Grande, Arizona to look at a vehicle. They have never been heard from again.On May 15, nearly a month after the men's disappearance, Lopez's truck was found abandoned in Maricopa, Arizona. It had been burned down to its frame. Investigators discovered it had been left there on May 2. There was no sign of Lopez or Cordova at the scene. Their cases remain unsolved.
