Losey was last seen leaving El Grotto's bar in the 2300 block of west Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio during the evening hours of New Years' Eve, 2002. She had left her home at 7:00 p.m. to go to the establishment, where she was employed as an exotic dancer. She was accompanied by an unidentified African-American male at the time of her disappearance. Losey has never been heard from again.

Losey may have attempted to travel to the Richmond, Virginia area or to New York via Greyhound bus or hitchhiking on the morning of January 1, 2003, the day after her disappearance. She has previously resided in the 40 West Motel on west Broad Street in Columbus. Losey may have been involved with prostitution at the time she went missing; she had previously been arrested for this. Her case remains unsolved. Her family believes she may be deceased.
