Details of Disappearance
Mathews's family last heard from him sometime during September 2008. He lived on west Lakeshore Drive in Benton, Louisiana at the time of his disappearance. He has never been heard from again. His relatives reported him missing in March 2009, after five months without contact.Mathews is retired from the Louisiana Department of Corrections. He may be driving his black 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with Louisiana license plates numbered KLY 870. Foul play is not suspected in his case, but it remains unsolved.
