Missing Since: February 21, 1998 from Flagstaff, Arizona Classification: Endangered Missing Date Of Birth: November 24, 1949 Age: 48 years old Height and Weight: 5'0, 110 pounds Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian female. Brown hair, brown eyes. Mathews has surgical scars on both of her knees. There is a discoloration on her back. Her ears are pierced. At the time of her disappearance, her hair was shoulder-length. Clothing/Jewelry Description: A light blue Patagonia jacket with a dark-colored fleece liner, dark-colored jeans, white tennis shoes, a gold watch, an engagement ring and a wedding ring.
Details of Disappearance
Mathews was last seen leaving her residence on Kingswood Way, at the base of Mount Elden in Flagstaff, Arizona, at approximately 2:00 p.m. on February 21, 1998. She was planning to take a walk at the time. Mathews was carrying a dark blue backpack at the time of her disappearance. She never returned home and has not been seen again. She may be in California. Police say there is no indication of foul play in Mathews's disappearance, but it is unclear what happened to her.
