Medical Conditions: McIntosh was in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease at the time of her disappearance.
Details of Disappearance
McIntosh left the East Texas Medical Center in Carthage, Texas at 10:30 p.m. on July 24, 2009. Her husband was being treated at the hospital. She was driving a gold 1997 Ford Expedition with Texas license plates numbered R1P809, tinted windows and dents on the right rear side. At 1:05 a.m. on July 25, McIntosh stopped at a house near Del Ray, Texas and asked for directions to Gary, Texas. She appeared to be disoriented at the time. The home's residents gave her directions and she left, headed in the wrong direction. McIntosh never arrived home and has never been heard from again.Two days after McIntosh's disappearance, her vehicle was found stuck in a muddy ditch at the site of an oil well off County Road 173 in Panola County, Texas, southwest of Shreveport, Louisiana. There was no sign of her at the scene, and her purse and keys were also missing. Authorities believe she left the site on foot after she was unable to get her vehicle free.
An extensive search of the area turned up no sign of McIntosh. Her case remains unsolved.
