    Details of Disappearance

Miller left her secretarial job at the Riviera Beach City Hall in Riveria Beach, Florida on December 11, 1981 to have lunch with her fiance, Otis Morgan. Morgan stated that they ate at his apartment on Greenwood Avenue in West Palm Beach, Florida. She never returned to work and has never been heard from again. Morgan says he found Miller's 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix unlocked and parked in a field near the municipal complex after her disappearance; he then reported her missing. Miller had purchased the vehicle only the day before.

Morgan committed suicide on June 12, 1982; the date was supposed to have been his and Miller's wedding day. He was considered a suspect in her disappearance before his death. Morgan had a history of violence towards women and had been charged in the stabbing death of another girlfriend, but was released for lack of evidence. Caustic acid stains and bloodstains were found in his apartment after Miller vanished, but there was not enough blood to test.

Foul play is suspected in Miller's case. Her family held a memorial service for her a year after her disappearance. Her case remains unsolved.
