    Details of Disappearance

Moore was last seen between 10:00 p.m. on August 23, 2004 and 2:00 a.m. on August 24 in the vicinity of Winthrop Street and Cohannet Street in Tauton, Massachuetts. She has never been heard from again. A week after Moore disappeared, the jacket she was wearing when she vanished was found in the bushes near the Orient restaurant on Winthrop Street, across the street from where she was last seen. Her mother, who lives in Marlboro, Massachusetts, identified it.

Moore was homeless at the time of her disappearance. She has a history of involvement with drugs and prostitution and may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol the night she vanished. She was awaiting a court hearing on pending larceny and prostitution charges against her. She missed the hearing, which is uncharacteristic of her.

Moore was last seen in the company of her boyfriend, Daniel Northrup, who had been released from jail that day after serving four months of an eighteen-month sentence for a number of charges, including assault. He and Moore have a young daughter, who is being cared for by Northrup's mother. He has bipolar disorder and allegedly has a history of abusing Moore. Northrup gave conflicting accounts of the circumstances leading up to her disappearance. He has been interviewed by the police several times and been named as a "person of interest" in her case, but has not been charged.

Moore's mother believes her daughter met with foul play; she says Moore kept in regular contact with her prior to her disappearance. Northrup denies having had anything to do with her disappearance and points out that Moore had several reasons to drop out of sight, including the pending charges against her and the fact that her mother was trying to have her committed to a drug rehabilitation facility. The circumstances surrounding her case are unclear and her disappearance remains unsolved.
