Brown hair, brown eyes. Nunes may use the last name San Martin. She speaks English and Spanish. She has a lazy eye, a birthmark on the bottom of her foot, a scar on the tip of her thumb and a scar on her leg. Her ears are pierced. Medical Conditions: Nunes suffers from arteriovenous malformations, a vascular disease which causes migraines and leg weakness among other symptoms. She is in great need of specialized medical attention.
Details of Disappearance
Nunes was last seen on October 22, 2004 in Whitefield, New Hampshire. She is believed to have been abducted by her non-custodial mother, Genevieve Mary Kelley, and her stepfather, Scott David Kelley. A court hearing had been called to address the issue of Nunes's custody, as there was concern that her mother and stepfather were committing medical neglect. The Kelleys did not arrive at court as scheduled; they fled with Nunes instead. As a result, Nunes's father was named as her legal guardian. Felony warrants have been issued for both of them.The Kelleys and Nunes are believed to have taken two horses with them when they left. One of them is described as a male, dark bay in color with a light brown muzzle and star-shaped markings. Its name is Nicky. A photograph of Nicky is posted below this case summary. The other horse is named Snippy. Nunes has been riding horses since the age of five, and her mother since she was in high school.
Genevieve is a physician and formerly worked as a flight surgeon for the United States Air Force. Scott formerly worked as a special education teacher. They may be working in their professions under alias names. The Kelleys have fled the country with Nunes. Her whereabouts are unknown and his case remains unsolved. Some agencies give Aurora, Colorado as the place of her disappearance.
