Details of Disappearance
Pereira disappeared from Alhambra, California on December 15, 1998. She was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Elizeth Zarate. A photograph of Zarate and her vital statistics are posted below this case summary. A felony warrant was issued for her on July 21, 1999. Zarate and Pereira are thought to be in Mexico.Some agencies report that Zarate abducted Pereira on January 4, 1999.
