    Details of Disappearance

Potts was being pursued by the St. Ann police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol when he crashed his car on the Blanchette Bridge westbound on Interstate 70 in Florissant, Missouri at 2:30 a.m. on October 29, 2006. The police were chasing him because they had noticed his car weaving and suspected he was drunk. Following the accident, Potts exited his vehicle and jumped over the bridge rail onto the catwalk below. He disappeared afterwards and has never been heard from again, his bank accounts have not been used, and he has not picked up any of his checks. At the time of his disappearance, he was carrying his wallet and identification cards.

An search of the river turned up no indication of Potts's whereabouts. His friends stated he is a good swimmer. His mother was undergoing treatment for cancer at the time of his disappearance and said he regularly checked on her and it is uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning. His disappearance remains unsolved.
