Romero was last seen in Caldwell, Idaho on July 24, 1999. She has never been heard from again. Romero's family believes she was abducted by an adult male acquaintance. This individual has not been publicly named. Romero and her alleged abductor may have traveled to Michoacan, Mexico; Guadalajara, Mexico; or Chicago, Illinois together.
