Details of Disappearance
Ruby disappeared from Tampa, Florida on February 23, 2002. She was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Bianka Teresa Salazar. A photograph and vital statistics for Salazar are posted below this case summary. Felony warrants for interference with custody and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution have been issued for her. Salazar and Ruby's father, Michael Sayre, were divorcing and Michael had primary custody of Ruby. Salazar fled with the child during a weekend visit, one month before the divorce and custody arrangements were finalized.Salazar and Ruby may have traveled to Texas or Mexico; they have family members living in both places and there have been sightings of them in Texas towns near the Mexican border. They may be in the company in the company of another young child and may be traveling in a black 1990 Lexus ES250 sedan with the Florida license plate number HT309B. Ruby's whereabouts are unknown and her case remains unsolved.
Some agencies state that Ruby vanished from Seffner, Florida, where Michael lives. Texas authorities are assisting with the investigation.

She has been known to use several different Social Security numbers. Some agencies refer to her as Bianka Sayre Salazar or spell her first name "Bianca."
