    Details of Disappearance

Streling was last seen in the 1700 block of Oakley Avenue in her hometown of Burley, Idaho at 6:00 p.m. on May 17, 2015. She was walking the three blocks from her boyfriend's house to a friend's residence at the time. She has never been heard from again.

James Allen McLaws, who was Streling's boyfriend at the time of her disappearance, is considered a person of interest in her case. A photo of McLaws is posted below this case summary. In July 2015, he posted bond for an unrelated drug offense and was ordered to wear an ankle monitor until trial. He cut off the monitor and jumped bond. Several days later, McLaws was arrested after a high-speed police chase. The crimes he was charged with are all unrelated to Streling's disappearance, and he maintains his innocence in her case. In May 2016, he was sentenced to six years in prison.

Streling had also been secretly seeing an ex-boyfriend, Jordan Defilippis, up until shortly before she disappeared. They had had a daughter together, but the child had died in 2013. After McLaws proposed marriage to her on May 15, Streling ended her relationship with Defilippis. The two men had a confrontation the following day, then took a drive alone together to talk. Defilippis stated he told McLaws about their relationship, and then McLaws dropped him off. The day after that, Streling disappeared.

Since her disappearance, Streling's cellular phone has been turned off. It's uncharacteristics of her to leave without warning, and her family believes she would call home if she was able to. Her case remains unsolved and the circumstances of her disappearance are unclear.
