Vasquez was last seen in Topeka, Kansas on September 24, 2006. He has never been heard from again. He is believed to have been abducted by his non-custodial mother. Photographs and information about the mother are unavailable.

Vasquez's father has applied for the child's return to the United States under the terms of an international civil treaty, the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Vasquez is still listed as a missing child, however, and his case remains unsolved.
