    Details of Disappearance

Vasquez was last seen on June 28, 1987 in El Paso, Texas. She was at the Circle K Store in the 10600 block of McCombs Street at the time of her disappearance. Vasquez was accompanied by an unidentified Caucasian male with blond hair. The individual was driving a striped beige pickup truck. Vasquez has never been heard from again.

That same year, several other females disappeared from El Paso, and most of them were later found murdered and buried in the desert. The victims were all young, mostly in their teens and twenties. Vasquez and another girl, Melissa Alaniz, are still missing, but presumed to be homicide victims as well.

David Leonard Wood, a serial rapist who was paroled in January 1987, was later convicted of murdering six of the El Paso victims. He has not been charged in connection with Vasquez's case, however, and it remains unsolved. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
