Carl, 10, Eric, 7, and Sarah, 12, were all abducted by their non-custodial father, Glen Steven Margolis, from their school in Los Angeles, California on November 24, 1997. He took them to Costa Rica. The children were recovered six years later, in April 2004, when Sarah contacted the United States embassy in Costa Rica for information on how to return home. She and her brothers have been reunited with their mother. Glen has not been apprehended and is believed to be still in Costa Rica.

Jackson, 75, disappeared from Los Angeles, California on August 1, 2003. In October 2004, she was admitted for treatment for an infection at Beverly Hospital in Montebello, California. She was semi-comatose and unable to identify herself or communicate. She had spent the past fourteen months at two other hospitals as an unidentified "Jane Doe" patient. An employee at Beverly Hospital took the initiative to identify Jackson, searching the Los Angeles Police Department's website for photographs of missing women that matched her description. One did. Jackson has been reunited with her family.

Moore, 43, disappeared from Wisconsin Rapids, Michigan on March 24, 2003. Her body was found on September 8, 2004; a mobile home owner next door to Moore's residence discovered the remains under his porch while doing routine maintanence. Moore had a history of mental illness and liked to hide in cramped spaces when she was frightened. Police believe her death was accidental; she may have become stuck under the porch and died of exposure.

Jackson disappeared from Pembroke Pines, Florida on June 25, 1988, when he was 24 years old. He stepped out to buy a pack of cigarettes and never returned home. His car was found abandoned months later, at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.Jackson's remains were found in Miramar, Florida in August 1989, but were not identified by police until October 2004.
