Siblings Jacquelyn, 9, Jasmine, 11, Kimberly, 4, Luis, 5, and Myra, 14, were abducted by their non-custodial mother from Whittier, California on March 9, 2006. The children were all found safe in May 2008.

Chad Robert Lightle
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
Lightle, 33, disappeared from Rochester, Michigan on October 1, 2001. In May 2008, his skeletal remains were found in a remote desert area near Sunrise Mountain in Nevada. The cause of death has not been determined. Lightle's death remains under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.

Dustin Robert Mansell

Dustin, 5, was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Margie Laverne Mansell, from Santa Barbara, California on May 3, 1983. They were found living in Atlanta, Georgia in 1990, but fled before authorities could get them. In May 2008, Margie was arrested in Ware County, Georgia and charged with abducting her son. Dustin, who is now 30, was found to be living in Ware County also. They apparently hid for 25 years by changing their names and moving from state to state. Margie will be extradited back to California to face the charges against her. She faces a maximum of three years in prison if convicted of child abduction.

The Orange County Register
Wrinkle, 27, disappeared from Cleveland, Tennessee on February 22, 1956. In 2008, authorities found a 1951 Chevrolet Bel Air in Parkersville Lake, with human remains inside. It will take DNA testing to conclusively identify the body, but it is of a young adult female, Wrinkle's loved ones identified personal items in the car, and authorities are all but certain the body is hers. She evidently had a car accident on the day of her disappearance and drove into the lake.

Jordan Keith Steigerwald

Steigerwald, 22, disappeared from Waelder, Texas on August 14, 2002. In 2006, his skull was found in a dried-up stock tank in Luling, Texas, about a mile north from where his car had been found abandoned a month after his disappearance. The skull was not identified as Steigerwald's until May 2008, however. No other remains were located. Steigerwald's death remains under investigation.

Ruger, 44, disappeared from Skagit County, Washington on December 29, 2006. In May 2008, her boyfriend, Benjamin Price, walked into the police station and confessed to killing her. He lead investigators to her remains in a shallow grave in Paradise Valley, Washington. Price has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Harris, 21, disappeared from Henderson, Nevada on May 5, 2005. On May 23 of that year, her remains were found in wooded area off Interstate 15, south of Springfield, Illinois. The body was not identified until May 2008, however. Authorities stated Harris's death was a homicide and it remains under investigation.

Randy Scott Huegel

Huegel, 38, disappeared from Price Township, Pennsylvania on August 14, 2001. In September 2006, Thomas Ward Cook Jr. was charged with his murder. In April 2008, while still awaiting trial, Cook lead investigators to Huegel's remains on the propery of a gun club bordering Price and Smithfield townships. This information was not released to the public until May, after Cook pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. He faces 20 to 40 years in prison.

Daren Allen Kelley

Kelley, 25, disappeared from Santa Rosa County, Florida in May or June 1995. He was not reported missing for three days and the exact date of his disappearance is unknown. In January 2008, one of his fibula bones was found on his fourteen-acre property. The bone was identified through DNA in May 2008. Kelley's wife, Kimberly Marie Cannon, has been charged with his murder.
