Karissah Charlene Butler
Butler, 2, was abducted by her non-custodial mother from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on September 29, 2006. She was found safe in May 2009.

Patrick Kenney
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
Kenney, 22, disappeared from Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on February 2, 2005. In 2008, Bryan Sedlak was convicted of third-degree murder in Kenney's case. He admitted he'd killed Kenney but said it was self-defense; prosecutors theorized he robbed and killed Kenny intentionally. In May 2009, Sedlak lead authorities to Kenney's partial skeletal remains in a remote location. He's hoping to get a reduced sentence in exchange for his disclosing where the body was.

Hart, 79, disappeared from Fairfield County, South Carolina on October 6, 1999. In 2006, his body was found in Fairfield County. The remains weren't identified until May 2009. Little information is available in Hart's death.

Jose, 12, and his twin sisters Lizbeth Alicia and Lizbeth Arlene, 9, were allegedly abducted by their non-custodial mother from Mesa, Arizona on June 23, 2007. Jose was found safe in May 2009. The girls remain missing.

Troy Klug

Klug, 26, disappeared from Rapid City, South Dakota on July 12, 2004. Three individuals were charged with his kidnapping ten days later. Two of them pleaded guilty and a third, Troy Teigan, was convicted at trial. In December 2008, Teigan was additionally charged with Klug's murder. He pleaded guilty and lead authorities to Klug's body in May 2009. It was in the Sheep Mountain Range in eastern Montana.

Lynn, 12, and Mac, 15, disappeared from Santa Clarita, California on October 26, 2006. They were living with their non-custodial mother at the time. They had been court-ordered to return to their custodial father in Illinois, but vanished the night before the scheduled trip. The Strelioff siblings were initially classified as runaways, but it was later discovered their mother was hiding them and their cases were reclassified as family abductions. Mac and Lynn were found safe in May 2009.

David Lee Rockey

Rockey, 51, disappeared from Bartlesville, Oklahoma on August 26, 2002. In May 2009, he was found alive and well in South Dakota. He was located after he applied for a driver's license; he wanted to drive to his mother's home and see her on Mother's Day. Rockey apparently took a bus out of Bartlesville and moved from place to place after that, supporting himself through odd jobs. He left behind a wife and two children in Oklahoma. He said issues with unemployment and other personal problems lead him to walk out of his life.

Terry Ann Douglas

Douglas, 44, disappeared from Fairbanks, Alaska sometime during October 2008. In May 2009, her remains were found in the Farmers Loop area. Although authorities have yet to conduct an autopsy, they believe Douglas probably died of exposure.

Jacquelyn Ann Rains-Kracman and Melvin Eugene Uphoff

Rains-Kracman, 18, and Uphoff, 30, disappeared from Nebraska in 1965. Rains-Kracman went missing from Columbus on September 24 and Uphoff vanished exactly one month later from Rising City. They were married to other people but seeing each other, and authorities believed they'd run off together. They left behind six children between them. Both Rains-Kracman and Uphoff were found alive and well in April 2009. They were living outside the state of Nebraska. No other information about the pair has been released, as they said they wanted privacy.

Glenn Martin Boyer

Boyer, 55, disappeared from St. Joseph, Missouri on July 7, 2008. In April 2009, his remains were found at Riverfront Park near the St. Joseph River. The body was identified in May. Boyer had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

Ruess, 20, disappeared from the Escalante Canyons in Utah sometime in November 1934. He was a painter and writer and some of his works were published in books after his disappearance. In 2009, his skeletal remains were found on Comb Ridge, sixty miles from where he was last seen. A Native American family came forward and said their grandfather had witnessed Ruess being robbed and murdered in 1934. He had concealed the body inside a rock crevice. Authorities went to the spot indicated and found the bones. DNA testing confirmed the identification.

McCullough, 44, disappeared from Ardmore, Oklahoma on June 3, 2005. Ten months later, his skeletal remains were found in Ardmore. The bones were identified through DNA in April 2009. Foul play isn't suspected in his death.

James Samuel Rapp

Rapp, 56, disappeared from Boro, Pennsylvania on July 12, 2004. He was awaiting trial for assuming his own daughter's identity and stealing $30,000 from her. Rapp left behind a note for his attorney, confessing his guilt and apologizing for his actions. In April 2009, his skeletal remains were found in a ditch in Muddy Creek Township in western Pennsylvania. The cause of death hasn't been determined; Rapp's death remains under investigation.

Cox, 84, disappeared after a boating accident on the Sacramento River in Shasta County, California on June 17, 2007. He was presumed to have drowned, but his body wasn't recovered at the time. In March 2009, a foot inside a shoe was found near Dog Island Park in Red Bluff, California. The foot was identified as Cox's in April. The rest of his body remains missing.

Michalik, 58, disappeared from Schenectady, New York on October 26, 2005. In April 2009, his skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off Rice Road in Rotterdam, New York. They had apparently been there for several years. There were no indications of foul play. Michalik's death is under investigation.
