Banks-Mohammed, 16, ran away her Oak Park, Illinois home on May 3, 2009. She was found safe in August 2010.

Mitrice Lavon Richardson
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
Richardson, 24, disappeared from Malibu, California on September 17, 2009, shortly after she was released from the sheriff's substation where she was booked after being arrested on minor charges. In August 2010, her skeletal remains were found in a deep ravine only a few miles from where she was last seen. Authorities stated there was no evidence of foul play.

Price, 54, disappeared from Pulaski County, Kentucky on April 21, 2003. In April 2010, his body was found lying under a rock ledge in a remote area of the county. It was identified in August. Although the cause of death has not been determined, foul play is not suspected.

The Melchishua children are two sets of twins. Asukile and Sakile, 8, and Bayanna and Belaynesh, 6, were abducted by their non-custodial mother from Wheaton, Maryland on August 18, 2000 and taken to Qatar. The children returned to the United States in 2010 and were reunited with their searching father.

Knowles, 22, disappeared from Cocoa, Florida on June 11, 2006. Acting on a tip from a prison inmate, authorities searched a wooded area off State Road 524 and found bone fragments, including a foot bone, that they believe to be Knowles. Her death remains under investigation.

Dudko, 32, disappeared from Woodridge, Illinois on December 15, 2008. In 2009, his body was found on the banks of the Des Plaines River outside Channahon, Illinois. It wasn't identified until July 2010. Dudko's death remains under investigation and is being treated as a homicide.

Patricia Leanne Peterson

Peterson, 24, disappeared from Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 4, 2006. In April 2009, her skeletal remains were found at the bottom of a thousand-foot cliff off Interstate 40 in Lupton, Arizona. She'd been beaten to death. Peterson's body wasn't identified until June 2010. Her murder is under investigation.

Daniel, 79, disappeared from Phoenix, Arizona on May 6, 2005. In July 2010, his wife Larisa was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in his case. She confessed to the crime and lead authorities to Chinle, Arizona, where she had disposed of his body. Police recovered human bones from the site and are awaiting DNA confirmation of their identity.

Amber Rose Nicklas
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
Nicklas, 1, was in foster care when she was abducted three teenage aunts on September 21, 2003. Two of the abductors were subsequently arrested, but Nicklas and her third aunt, who was only thirteen, remained missing. Nicklas was found safe in Phoenix, Arizona in July 2010, living with a family not related to her. She had changed her name and date of birth and had never been enrolled in school. No arrests have yet been made in Nicklas's case. She has been returned to California and the police are trying to figure out how she came to be with the family in Phoenix.
