Harmon, 29, disappeared from Atlanta, Georgia on July 9, 1991. Her body was found in a wooded area near Campbellton Road in 1992, but it wasn't identified until 2011. Authorities were unable to determine the cause of death.

Laurie Ann Pineda

Pineda, 24, disappeared from Kyle, Texas on November 14, 2004. She was trying to drive across the Blanco River when floodwaters swept her vehicle away. Pineda's passenger was rescued, but Pineda disappeared in the river. Her skull was located by a fisherman in March 2011 and identified in December.

Bounds, 81, disappeared from Lassen County, California on October 4, 2006. In September 2011, part of her skull was found on Browns Ravine Road in Butte County, California. It was identified in December. Her death remains under investigation.

Gilbert, 23, disappeared from Oak Beach, New York on May 1, 2010. In December 2011, her remains were found in a remote marshy area not far from where she was last seen. Although police believe Gilbert got stuck in the marsh and accidentally drowned, her family thinks she met with foul play.

Aaron Michael Torres

Torres, 25, was a patient at a mental hospital in Middletown, Connecticut in 2010. He suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He walked away during a supervised outing on March 17, 2010. In the summer of 2011, his remains were located washed up on the beach in East Hampton, New York. They were identified in September. Authorities believe Torres died shortly after he absconded from the hospital. They stated there was no evidence of foul play and they believe his death was either suicide or an accident.

Ima Jean Sanders

Sanders, 13, disappeared from Warner Robins, Georgia on August 1, 1974. Her skeletal remains were found in Peach County, Georgia in April 1976, but they weren't identified until December 2011. The serial killer Paul John Knowles confessed to killing Sanders; he murdered eighteen people before he was shot by police in December 1974.

Lee, 39, disappeared from May Hill, New Mexico on April 20, 2002. His skeletal remains were found in a wooded area north of Ruidoso, New Mexico in October that year, but they weren't identified until November 2011. Authorities stated Lee's death was a homicide from sharp force trauma to the skull and ribcage, and they're pursuing charges against two suspects.
