In April 2012, she was identified; her skeletal remains had been found just off Florence Highway in Pima County, Arizona in 1983, fourteen months after she disappeared. It wasn't until the authorities tested DNA from several members of Overstreet's family that they realized the unidentified remains were hers. Due to the condition of the remains, the cause of death could not be determined.

Billy, 19, disappeared from Stockton, California on December 11, 1984. Hobson, 16, disappeared from Stockton on August 29, 1985. In 2012, convicted serial killer Wesley Howard Shermantine Jr., who is on death row, offered to lead authorities to the bodies of murder victims in exchange for a cash payment. He claimed he never killed anyone and all the homicides were committed by his partner, Loren Joseph Herzog, who committed suicide in early 2012.In February 2012, acting on Shermantine's directions, authorities found over 300 human bones and some personal items in an abandoned well in Linden, California. Investigators are in the process of sorting out and identifying the remains. Billy and Hobson's bodies were identified in late March 2012. There is at least one more victim found in the well who has yet to be identified.

Walker and his live-in girlfriend Warford, both 30, disappeared from Richmond, Kentucky on June 28, 2010. In March 2012, their bodies were found in a field off Tates Creek Road. Daniel Keene and Matthew Denholm have been charged with two counts each of murder, kidnapping and evidence tampering in the homicides and may face the death penalty. Denholm was already in custody for another, unrelated murder at the time he was charged in Walker and Warford's deaths.
